Final Project (Final Art Form)

This is our final art form for the project. It was done using Microsoft PowerPoint.
[Synopsis: A man who lost his job went to wait for the bus at the bus stop. While waiting for the bus, he reminiscences of his teenage years, when he was engrossed and skilled in creative multimedia. However, his father did not approve of it, so sent him to work at an accounting firm. His boss sow his lack of workmanship, and so fired him. While he looked back, all those knowledge he'd acquired those years on creative multimedia and its possibilities somehow flowed back to his mind and something happened. He was able to regain his roots and interest on creative multimedia again.]

Final Project (Final Sketch)

After the 50 sketches, we were supposed to sketch 5 final images. Unfortunately, some complications occurred with the work progress, leaving us to sketch only one. Thankfully it was approved.

After the essay, we are tasked to sketch 50 images from the random word 'guitar' with the design concept as our theme.

After the mind maps, we were supposed to do a write up of minimum 800 words with the topic we've chosen, which is 'Variety of Jobs in Creative Multimedia'. As the essay is too long, we've decided to put it as a Google document for the public's viewing pleasure. The link is below.

As for the design concept, we've chosen 'Creative Multimedia has a Variety of Possibilities.'

Final Project. (Mind Maps)

Our lecturer gave us our final assignment, and we had to do it in groups of 5 people. These are the names of the members in our group:

The 1st part in our final project progress is to create a logical mind map based on the general topic 'Creative Multimedia'.


Then we had to create another mind map, now with the title we've chosen, 'Job Opportunities in Creative Multimedia'.

Random Associations.

We learnt on how to solve problems by associating the problem with a random word, and then find a solution from it. But first, our lecturer showed us something fun, by combining two different animals together, and asked us why couldn't that particular animal survive? For example, a chicken's body with a hippopotamus' head. He then asked us to try out an exercise. I chose to combine a meerkat and an elephant, as shown below. As you can see, it is illogical that such an animal could survive, for the elephant's head is too heavy for the meerkat's body to support it.

Next, our lecturer gave us some homework on solving problems.
Problem: To create 'scary images/object' that will instill fear among people throughout the ages.
Random word: kitten

1. I made a mind-map on the characteristics of a kitten.

2. I then associate the characteristics with the problem:
a) big eyes: scary mask with big eyes
b) claws: gloves with sharp claws used as killing instrument.
c) small: claustrophobia [fear of small, confined spaces].
d) furry: legend of furry monster [eg. werewolf]

3. After that, i illustrated the association of the four characteristics with the problem as shown below:-

Juxtapositions - Homework

Our lecturer gave us some homework on juxtapositions, which is to create a concept, phrase or poem based on two different images.

1) Chilli - Love

You are the chilli of my life,
The fire within you makes me desire for you more.
Being with you takes my breath away,
For you spice up my life like no one else does.

2) Woman - Mortar and Pestle

A woman is like a mortar, and life's challenges is the pestle,
for no matter how difficult the challenges of life may be, pounding and grinding on her,
the woman will still be strong and hold on.

3) Life - Lighted Candle

Life is like like a lighted candle, it must be preserved in order to survive.

4) Pain - Ice Cream

Pain can be described as eating an ice cream; each passing bite is as though a strike of
lightning to the brain.
